Eight days processing - again. I could almost use my words from last time - but where's the art in that? This was my first time shooting with summer sun in a very long time - and I must say, it is most unkind. This time last year I was shooting around 1/125th and faster, and bright sun just makes for punchy colours and amazing detail and clarity. Stepping down to 1/2 that - and you're inviting heavy contrast and detail lost to over-exposure. I have a running theory on why that may be the case, but I shan't bore you with my likely baseless musings.
What I can say - is that I had a discard rate about 30% higher than normal - and that I burnt a lot of time trying to fix photos that turned out to be unfixable (at least to my satisfaction). The result is just shy of 300 photos in the gallery, the best of the original 4200+ shots. Thankfully, I think there are some rippers in there.
I do welcome feedback, my standards are ever evolving, so if you think something is garbage, feel free to point it out. You are, of course, allowed to point out you like them too!
If you find something you like and you can afford to - it'd be great if you could support my effort by purchasing an image or three. $10 is a screaming deal, I reckon.
Note: Purchased images are all at least 4000px across (about 4-5 times the size you see them in the gallery) and do not have the large watermark.
