One Winter Afternoon

You know you live in a good place when mid-winter throws blue skys and light winds at you and you don't need to dress like a polar explorer to spend a few hours on the side of the road. I was still thankful for my heated seats when I got back to the car though.

By the time I set up - the sun was well and truly below the hills, so I was shooting in full shade with a bright sky. I decided to shoot almost the whole day at 1/60th of a second. When it works, this makes for some deliciously creamy, moody shots. If you're lucky enough to be out on such a fine winters day, you might find yourself in the gallery.

Enough ado - here's some photos for making it this far.

Note: All images are available for free download  - click on the download symbol at the top of the page when viewing a single photo.

Note: Purchased images are all at least 4000px across (about 4-5 times the size you see them in the gallery) and do not have the large watermark.
