Welcome to Autumn

Well, it's officially autumn after a summer of altogether too much fire and smoke, and latterly some rain to boot. Lighting was patchy (some may say "scattered cloud") which made for some challenging lighting in the morning. I like a challenge.

I decided to try out a new lens for half the photos. Jury is still out whether it did a better job than my old one - will have to bust out the calculator to have a definitive answer - but either way it's not night and day better (or worse).

This did mean I took even more photos than usual (maybe this is my new usual, as I said the same thing last time) - probably about 1000 more than my previous "I took way too many photos" moment!  yes - it again took over a week to cut them down to a reasonable size gallery - but I spend my time so you don't have to waste your time looking for the good ones.

And after all the effort - there are definitely some great shots. Hopefully, you can find yourself in there.

Note: All images are available for free download  - click on the download symbol at the top of the page when viewing a single photo.

Note: Purchased images are all at least 4000px across (about 4-5 times the size you see them in the gallery) and do not have the large watermark.
